TX Dept of Public Safety (DPS) approved LTC course
Academic and skills based training focusing on Basic Handgun Parts and Mechanics, Safety, Loading, Stances, Grip, Sights and Alignment, Trigger Mechanics and Common Errors
CHILD GUN SAFETY. This course is taught as either a shooting course or academics only to families and children to teach gun safety. Private, small or large groups available. Instructor is accompanied by a police officer to add instruction in how to deal with the police and 911 operator. Great for children, boy and girl scout troops, sports teams and clubs. Skills based training focusing on Safety, Point Shooting, 2 eyes open shooting, Trigger Mechanics / Reset, Recoil Control, Shooting from position 3 / 4. The Intermediate Handgun course is our most popular for the avid shooter who has received little or no previous professional training.
Skills and Drills based training focusing on Tactical Handgun Safety, Holster Draw, Reloads, Flash Sighting, Controlled Pairs / Triples, Multiple Targets, Threat Recognition vs Friendlies, Malfunctions, Shooting on the Move, Retention Shooting.
Scenario based training focusing on Safety, TX Law, Cover and Concealment, Multiple Shots, Multiple Targets, Threat Recognition vs Friendlies, Tactical reload, Malfunctions, Shooting on the Move, One Hand / Weak Hand, Shooting from Various Positions and Disengagement.
SPECIALIZED ADVANCED HANDGUN: Advanced shooting skills with very specific scenarios designed by the clients. Examples are:
1. Specialized training for Lights, Lasers, Red Dot sights and Suppressors. Demos available.
2. Carjacking Defense Course.
3. Room clearing.
4. Personal protection guards defending a VIP.

NRA course approved for beginner shooters
Classroom Instruction on gun types, size, grips, actions, calibers, sights and mechanics. Designed to help in Weapon Selection. Also includes instruction in weapon reliability, recoil, round count, weight, ammunition availability, cost and ammunition terminal performance to include penetration, reliability and consistency, PWC and barrier performance
Wound ballistics terms, definitions and results from seven national level government ballistics tests. Comparison of over 10 different calibers shot into various media and barriers
Focuses on Home Defense to include: Locks, Lighting, Fencing, Doors, Alarm Systems, Pets, Police Notification, Safe Areas, Avenues of Escape, Family Reactions and Locations. Also includes home walk through and shooting scenarios, Safety, TX Law, Cover and Concealment, Engagement vs Flea Scenarios, Threat Recognition vs Friendlies, and Disengagement
Focuses on out of the home defense in a workplace or public enclosed environment to include: Run, Hide and Fight skills with and without available firearms. Police Notification, Safe Areas and Avenues of Escape. Additionally, Safety, TX Law, Cover and Concealment, Engagement vs Flee Scenarios, Threat Recognition vs Friendlies, and Disengagement are covered. Also, includes walk through and shooting scenarios. Taught by DoD qualified Active Shooter Instructor.
This multipart course focuses on current Texas gun laws.
1. Primer in criminal law for defensive shooting and the general philosophies of how to understand and interpret laws.
2. Criminal procedures, trial stages and how to interact with law enforcement and attorneys and protect yourself from prosecution.
3. Civil cases, when a self defender is protected from them.
Taught by current trial attorneys, weapons instructors and gun store owners. It is designed to increase the legal and defense knowledge of anyone currently holding a Texas LTC. Each course lasts approximately 2.5 hours and contains legal information, training opportunities and discounts on guns and equipment.
