INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Designed to teach an experienced shooter how to safely handle their firearm in a simple defensive scenario. Training bridges the gap between the Basic and Tactical Courses.  See our Safety Guidelines and Range Safety Rules page.  

SYLLABUS & TRAINING OVERVIEW:

Skills based training focusing on Safety, 2 eyes open Target-Centric Focus, Point Shooting, Flash Sighting, Trigger Mechanics / Reset, Recoil Control, Shooting from position 3 / 4 and Controlled Pairs / Triples   

We provide several tools as part of our Training Systems which we incorporate into our academics to enhance student learning.

$100 per Student, Cash, Check or VENMO

TIME: 

2-3 Hours total instruction (.5-1 hour classroom, 1.5-2 hours shooting range)  

LOCATION:  

Any Indoor or Outdoor Range  in the Houston Area

MAXIMUM # OF STUDENTS PER CLASS:  

2 per Instructor (Coordinate for courses larger than 2 for additional instructors) 

WHATS PROVIDED: 

Academic Instruction with Training Pistols, Range Instruction  

WHAT STUDENT NEEDS TO PROVIDE:  

Handgun, 200-300 rounds, Eye/Ear Protection 

INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN COMPLETION TEST:

Texas LTC Qualification Shooting Course from position 3 and 4

3 yard-position 3

7 yard-alternating between position 3 and 4

15 yard-position 4
