COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is specifically for anyone with no previous professional weapons training. It is designed to teach how to safely handle their defensive rifle, carbine, Personal Defensive Weapon (PDW) or Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) at a range and shoot safely and accurately. Instruction is academic and shooting. Course includes safe operation and handling of a rifle, mechanics of the gun, shooting and finally analysis and correction of common errors. Use of the US Army OATS is utilized. Sighting in an optic can be incorporated.
All shots are from a bench. This is not a long-range precision shooting course and magnified optics for hunting are not part. Focus is on iron sights or red dots (holographic, reflex or red dot). No rapid fire,
For students who do not own a rifle, the student may use one of ours. Please coordinate in advance to make sure you bring the proper ammunition. We have available weapons in three calibers. Viper Weapons Training does not provide or sell any ammunition for any course.
