Next public LTC course Saturday 2 JULY 10-3
Designed to teach a novice how to safely handle their firearm at a range and shoot safely and accurately. Instruction is academic and shooting. Course includes safe operation and handling of a pistol, mechanics of a gun and shooting and finally analysis and correction of common errors.
This course is suggested in preparation for the TX LTC course and may be combined with the TX LTC course if coordinated in advance.
For students who do not own a pistol, this course can be combined with the Weapon Selection Course and will include fitting a pistol to your hand and needs, renting multiple pistols and firing them all to help determine the best one.
This course contains all the requirements of the NRA BASIC PISTOL course.
A Handgun Safety Certificate is available after completion of the course. Please send the requirements from your employer or agency prior to the course for the certificate.

Lesson I: Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling
Lesson II: Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
Lesson III: Introduction to Pistol Shooting
Lesson IV: Scoring Targets and Selecting and Maintaining your Pistol
Lesson V: Continued Opportunities for Skill Development
$100 per Student, Cash, Check or VENMO
2-3 Hours total instruction (.5-1 hour academics, 1.5-2 hours shooting)

2 per Instructor (Coordinate for courses larger than 2 for additional instructors)
