The primary pistol shooting system we employ and teach is the Natural Point of Aim (NPA) military pistol combat shooting system. Our syllabus for each of our five main combat shooting courses, from Basic through Advanced, comes directly from a US DoD military syllabus, starting with technical skills and progressing to tactical scenarios.
NPA is a symmetrical triangle platform that defines the posture, grip, aiming and weapon recovery of pistol combat, providing upper body stability and lower body mobility for consistent, intuitive pistol shooting while moving or static with multiple shots on multiple targets.
It incorporates shooting from high ready (position 4) and low ready or retention (position 3). It allows for the instinctive requirement of focusing on the target. It requires no sights or external aids, but is suited for use with red dots, lasers, weapon lights and night vision goggles, using both sighted fire and point shooting techniques.
A combat system must be natural, consistently repeatable, efficient and accurate. NPA provides all of these required features and is combat proven. It utilizes: 1. natural body posture 2. symmetrical tool use 3. normal pointing to provide the instinctive basis of the system.
We were selected to test the US Army's new ATS weapons simulator system (IOC 2026) and utilize in in our training courses. This is one of several Training Systems we incorporate into our academics to enhance student learning.
